Welcome to Rotary Club of Madras Metro

ROTARY CLUB OF MADRAS METRO was inaugurated as the 11th Club in the City of Chennai (then Madras). The club which was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Madras was started and chartered during the Rotary Year 1984-85 when Rtn.P V Purushothaman (Puru) was serving as the District Governor of the then undivided Rotary International District 323.

History of RCMM

The club which was chartered with 39 Charter Members had
Rtn. Sp.St.Palaniappan of the Rotary Club of Madras as its Charter President and Rtn.Haritha Srinivasan as the Charter Secretary. Initially, the club used to meet at Hotel Connemara on Thursdays at 6.30 P M but after a couple of years the meeting day was changed to Fridays.
