- Educational endowment presented to children of Jai Gopal Garodia school
- Annual Didar Motors Tamil Nadu State level Open Rapid Chess Tournament for children was conducted jointly with Chennai District Chess Association
- On September 21st, 2002, a concert by the renowned ghazal exponent Shri Pankaj Udhas helped raise over Rs.14 lakhs through philanthropic sponsors and ticket sales. Aid from sister clubs in Indonesia [District 3400] and Malaysia [District 3300] has helped the Rotary Club of Madras Metro to execute this project as a Special Initiative Grant of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International which has granted US$ 40,000/- for this project. This was put to the envisaged objective of purchasing mammography equipment for The Cancer Institute under the untiring efforts of its Director Dr.V.Shantha, and our IPDG Rtn.M.Balaji. In a grand function held on the evening of 28th August, 2003 we were extremely honored to have with us Shri P.S.Ramamohan Rao, Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu and also our District Governor Rtn.Sv.Rm.Ramanathan to inaugurate this state of the art equipment at The Cancer Institute.

- Renovated Ladies free ward was inaugurated at the Cancer Institute
- Joint project at an old age home was conducted with IWCMM
